Dental Sedation in Beverly Hills, California

We understand that not everyone is comfortable going to the dentist; in fact, we’ve known many patients who experience terrible anxiety just at the thought of walking through the door. That’s why we offer safe and professionally administered sedation dentist options for your visit with us.

What is Sedation?
It’s a process that uses specialized drugs to calm patients so they can enjoy a stress-free dental visit. The drugs, which are administered by trained professionals, block pain and can even enable patients to sleep through the whole visit.

Who is a Candidate for Sedation Dentistry?
We recommend sedation dentist for those who:
• have limited time
• have difficulty becoming numb with local anesthetics
• have complex dental issues
• have moderate to severe anxiety in the dentist’s chair

For Which Procedures
can Dentistry Sedation be used?

Actually, sedative dentistry can be used for anything we do in the office, even routine cleanings.  We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed no matter what you’re having done.  The type and amount of sedative medication we use depends on the level of fear a patient has.

What Types of Sedation are used?

Oral sedation dentistry is administered in pill form.  This is typically used when a minimal amount of sedation is necessary.
• Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is administered through an oxygen mask.  It helps you relax, but it wears off quickly so you can drive yourself home.
• Intravenous (IV) sedation is administered via the bloodstream and goes to work quickly.  This is used when moderate sedation is necessary.
• General anesthesia is used when you need to go into a deep sleep, typically for an invasive procedure like extracting wisdom teeth.

We provide sedation dentistry for our patients in: Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Beverly Glenn, Bel Air, Brentwood, Westwood, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Culver City, Marina Del Rey, Burbank and Hollywood.
